The Local Government Unit of Sto. Tomas, Pampanga received Php 1,000,000.00 livelihood assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment through the initiative of Mayor Johnny A. Sambo, Vice-Mayor Matias C. Pineda, and SB Members.
LGU Sto. Tomas represented by PESO Manager Ms. Charlene G. Ocampo attended the nationwide simultaneous celebration of the 121st Labor Day Job Fair at SM Pampanga, a total of 52 employers participated in the event, offering a combined total of 8,860 job vacancies in different fields such as retail, hospitality, and other industries. The event was well-attended by job seekers of all ages, from fresh graduates to experienced professionals looking for better opportunities.
The DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) check amounting to Php 1,000,000.00 was awarded to Sto. Tomas, Pampanga that will benefit and uplift vulnerable and marginalized sectors through the provision of grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood ventures for individual or group undertakings.
